Darlene was an extremely positive role model for me growing up in Bridgeton in the 1980's at St Andrews . She always had a good story or Joke to tell. I appreciated her sarcasm and ability to see through nonsense and go right to the nitty gritty. She would often give me a ride home after services or events and I looked up to her and admired her tremendously. Very glad we had the opportunity to have met all those years ago..

I was a member of the Fairfield Twp. Bd. of Ed when Darlene was hired. I knew of her struggle to finish her degree to become a teacher. She always had a smile for everyone. My deep condolences to the family. Yvonne Custis
