Obituary of Lemuel Harris III

Lemuel “Lem” Harris III, 56, of Millville, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Lemuel was born in Chestertown, Maryland to the late Sandra Ann Hopkins and Lemuel Harris, Jr. and attended Millville Senior High School and graduated in 1987.
He had worked in the management field for the past 25 years and was most recently employed by, Americold Logistics as a Warehouse Supervisor for the past eight years. Lemuel enjoyed working out and he went for a run every morning. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team on tv, the San Francisco 49ers and loved to try out new restaurants. Most importantly, Lemuel loved spending time with his family and loved ones. Lemuel was the life of the party; at family gatherings, you would always find him laughing and joking around with a smile on his face. Lemuel was family oriented; he was a great man and an even greater father. Lemuel has touched the lives of so many, his love and laughter will be greatly missed.
Lemuel is survived by; his wife, Patricia Johnson of Plainfield, New Jersey; his two sons, Lemuel Markees Johnson (Justina) of Glassboro, NJ, Lemuel Harris IV of Port Norris, NJ; two daughters, Tiaira (Sabir) Lambert and Tamara Eagle, both of Plainfield, NJ; his brother, Shane (Susan) Harris of Vineland, NJ; his father, Lemuel (Barbara) Harris, Jr., of Dayton, NJ; his grandchildren, Jolie Johnson of Lewisville, TX, Jayden Johnson of Glassboro, NJ, Me’yah Keets and Mikal Tedder of Plainfield, NJ; his special friends, Omar Smalls of Bethlehem, PA, Blanca Dominguez and Hezekiah “Lucky” T. Holland III, both of Millville, NJ; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and loved ones. Lemuel was preceded in death by; his mother, Sandra A. Burton (Hopkins); maternal grandfather, Haston Hopkins; and paternal grandparents, Clara and Lemuel Harris, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 1837 NE Blvd., Vineland, on Saturday, March 30 at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave., Vineland, following the service.
