Obituary of Robert "Scott" S. Brown, Sr.

Robert Scott Brown, 59, of Bridgeton, NJ, departed this earth on April 11, 2024. He was born to Willie and Clara Brown on June 09,1964 as the youngest of 14 children. Scottie was a graduate of the Fairfield School System in Gouldtown, and Cumberland Regional High School in Deerfield Township. As a student there he was a fearless football player. Robert worked at various jobs but most recently for Seabrook Brothers as a Forklift driver for 13 years, in Seabrook, NJ. Scottie had a sense of humor, but when he was serious "Look Out"! He made his presence known by his thunderous voice and huge presence (with many noting his ability to lift the front of cars). However, he was loved and appreciated by many, and always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family alike, as well as showing love for his two sons. His laughter and unique personality will be missed. He is survived by 2 sons: Robert Jr. (Catherine) and Neco Brown (Tammy) of Bridgeton, 6 brothers: Paul-Tink (Gail); Mark; Eric(Kathleen); Larry (Dough); Ricky(Angie); and Bruce (Boo), 6 sisters: Connie; Brenda; Donna; Terry-Terby(Robert); Karen and Janet; his longtime personal friend (Lucy) and a host of uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends. Scott was predeceased by parents Willie and Clara Brown; Maternal and Paternal grandparents from both sides of the family; 1 brother, Milton Thomas, 2 nephews, Leon and Paul Jr., 1 uncle, Rudolph Dorsey, 6 Aunts: Bernice Green, Loretta Patten (Aunt Nookie), Virginia, Barbara and Yvonne Dorsey and Louise Ramsey; 1 Niece: Shontae; and 2 Cousins: Beverly Hall and Barbara Dorsey. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 26th at 11 AM at Crusaders for Christ Center, 33 Reeves Rd., Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. following the services.
