Obituary of Bernetta J. Pierce

Bernetta J. Pierce 77, of Bridgeton, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at her home under the care of hospice and her family. She was born in Bridgeton to the late William Hester Ridgeway and Pauline Sanderlin Ridgeway and had been a Bridgeton resident all of her life. Bernetta was a longtime member of the Crusaders For Christ Center in Bridgeton. She loved to go to church, watch church services on TV and read her bible. The love for her family was unmatched and she believed in making sure to have forgiveness for one another no matter what the circumstances were. Bernetta is survived by; her daughter, Sherry Gonzalez of Bridgeton; her grandchildren, James Royal and D'Ondre Fentress; two sisters, Gwendolyn of Delaware, and Bonnie of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by; her husband, James Pierce; her parents, William Ridgeway and Pauline Ridgeway; two granddaughters, Felicia Flores and Natasha Ferrer, and 14 siblings.
