Obituary of Richard W. Linn

Richard Wayne Linn, 64, of Pilesgrove passed away Saturday June 22, 2024 at Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill following a brave battle with cancer.
Richard was born in Bridgeton and was the son of the late Robert Merrill Linn of Vineland and the late Joanne Molnar Linn. He was raised in Bridgeton and raised his family in Quinton.
Richard is survived by his five children, Jennifer Glass of Hopewell, NJ, Daniel Glass of Fairless Hills, PA, Christopher Linn of Carneys Point, NJ, Mallory Tracy (Joseph) of Blackwood, NJ, and Jeanne Linn (Paul, predeceased) of Lynchburg, VA. He is also loved by and leaves behind five grandchildren, Ryder, Lucas, Tyler, Adeline, and Cameron. He is also survived by his former wife, Susan Linn of Lynchburg, VA, six sisters, Patricia Hofstetter (Don) of Vineland, Joanne Stratton (Bill) of Alloway, Donna Crackovich (Bob) of Greenwich, Sharon Gentile (Charlie, predeceased) of Deerfield Township, Michelle Lee of Upper Patterson, GA and Terri Leek (Bill) of Greenwich, and two brothers, Robert D. Linn (Robin, predeceased) of Vineland, and Thomas Linn of Vineland and several nieces and nephews. Also, Richard was predeceased by sister, Sandy.
Richard was a proud father and grandfather as well as an accomplished business owner and operator of G.H. Chesser Pest Control. Besides spending time with family, Richard’s biggest passion was cooking. He spent many years elevating the menu at the Alloway Village Inn as well as continuing and evolving the tradition of Crab Sundays. He also loved cooking at family barbeques and celebrations. Additionally, he most recently ran the restaurant at Four Seasons Campground. He also enjoyed relaxing by a campfire and watching the Phillies and Eagles.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27th at Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 Hwy 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends and family will be received from 4PM to 6PM. A celebration of life will follow at the Bridgeton VFW, 70 Manheim Ave, Bridgeton from 6PM to 8PM. All friends and family are welcome.
