Obituary of Farria Sprouse

Farria Sprouse, age 92, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 under the care of her family and hospice at the home of her daughter, Paula. Born in Hartford, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Bruce Clark and Bernice Laws Clark and the wife of the late Rev. Paul D. Sprouse. She had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for 84 years and had come to the area at the age of 8 from Tennessee. Prior to her retirement, Farria had been employed as a bookkeeper with the former Rutledge Oldsmobile, Pete and Hitch Ford and Nichols Ford dealerships in Bridgeton. She had also done bookkeeping for the former Supersonic Car Wash in Bridgeton. An avid Phillies Baseball Fan she also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. She is survived by her son, Ronald Sprouse (Debra); her two daughters, Shirley Morgan (David) and Paula Walker (Timothy); her daughter in law, Vera Sprouse; 6 grandchildren; Lee Sprouse, Gene Sprouse (Emily), Bridget Sprouse, Ronald Sprouse, II, Kristin Gaddy (James) and Kristina Borneby; 8 great-grandchildren, Abigail Sprouse, Averi Sprouse, Dallas Sprouse, Warren Sprouse, Craig Sprouse, Enrico Hatz, Patrick Wallace, James Gaddy and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Sprouse and her 9 siblings, Julia Caughron, Gene Clark, Zane Clark, Olene Kolk, Gona Lee Clark, Clara Holt, Myrtle Clark, Bill Clark and John Clark. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday, August 6th at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Centerton Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Pittsgrove Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services.
