Obituary of William R. Wood

William R. Wood, 90, of Millville passed away at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Born in Cedarville to the late Albert Wood and Ketura Sipps Wood, he had been the husband of the late Betty Jane Flanagan Wood. Bill had been a Millville resident for the last 30 years, prior to that he had lived in Cedarville. He had been a supervisor at Wheaton Glass in Millville for over 14 years. Bill had been a member of Dividing Creek Baptist Church, prior to that he had been a member at Fortescue Chapel for many years, where he had been involved in many church activities. He was a man of strong faith and read his Bible every morning. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the Mandolin, spending time with his family, going to yard sales, and antique auctions. He is survived by; his children, William Nicholas “Betty Ann” of Millville, Jeannie Moris (Ivan) of Vineland, Michael Nicholas (Marianne) of Richland, Kathy Keller of Millville, Edward Nicholas (Tracy) of Pittsgrove Twp., Nancy Purty (Doug) of KY, Betty Jane Nicholas (Fur Babies) of Millville, and David Nicholas (Carrie) of Rosenhayn; many grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Betty Jane Wood; parents, Albert and Ketura Wood; children, Gilbert Nicholas, Linda Cole, and Richard Nicholas. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 10AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 10 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville following the services.
