Obituary of Patricia K. Mitros

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia K. Mitros, nee Kelly, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John L. and the late Irene (McMonigle) Kelly. After marrying the love of her life, she moved to NJ.. She resided in Collings Lakes until 1972, when she moved to Estell Manor to raise her family. She had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Township for the past 24 years. Patricia (Pat) had worked as a school secretary and was the school board secretary for the Estell Manor School District before taking time off for her most important job as a stay-at-home mom. After raising her family, she went on to work at the Midway Inn in Buena. Pat finally made the decision to retire at the young age of 88 from her hostess position at the Silver Coin Diner in Hammonton. Pat lived a full life and was quite a spitfire. She was lovingly known as “The Dancing Queen.” She loved to dance to Big Band music and continued to do so until just recently. She enjoyed traveling across South Jersey and Philadelphia with her friends to attend dances. Pat was always laughing, and you could hear her laugh a mile away. Her motto was: Never lose your sense of humor. She was happiest, though, when surrounded by her family. Survived by her children Robert R. Mitros Jr. (Nancy), Michael Mitros (Kim), Kevin Mitros (Debbie), and Patrice Little (Dan), 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert R. Mitros Sr, her son Christopher, and her siblings, John L. Kelly Jr., Irene Rodgers, Marianne Zurad, and Suzanne R. Diamond. Pat wished for laughter, not tears, when she passed. To honor that wish, the family is hosting a Celebration of Life gathering for friends and family which will be held on November 23, 2024.
