Daryl Gene Brooks, Sr., 69, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Elmer.
Born in Bridgeton to the late George Brooks, Jr. and Hazel Ewing Brooks, he had been a Hopewell Twp. resident all of his life. He had been a dedicated employee at Laning Bros. Farms, Inc. for over 30 years as a farmer. In his free time, he enjoyed cutting fire wood and his hot rods. Daryl was a simple man who will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a good person.
He is survived by; sons, David Brooks, Sr. (Laura) and Daryl Brooks, Jr. (Krissy); grandchildren, Katelyn Gauntt (Alex), David Brooks, Jr., Julianna Garrison (Jeff) and Olivia Brooks; great-grandchildren, Cora Gauntt, Tessa Gauntt, Joey Brooks and Zaura Brooks; siblings, Carol Brooks, Shirley Woodside and George Brooks, III; and special cousin/best friend, Jeff Brooks. He was preceded in death by; parents, George and Hazel Brooks.
