Obituary of Angela Norma Montes

Angela Norma Montes Neira, 79, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at her home in Vineland, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 2, 1945, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Angela immigrated to the United States in 1969 at the age of 24, seeking a brighter future. She arrived with nothing but a passion for her craft as a dressmaker and skilled seamstress, and through hard work and determination, she built a beautiful life. Norma was devoted to her family and poured her love and energy into raising her children. She lived a life full of joy and spirit. A lover of music and dance, Angela’s welcoming and warm heart made every gathering a celebration. She had a special gift for hosting, always welcoming family and friends into her home with delicious Ecuadorian meals, homemade desserts and her gentle smile. Her family and loved ones will remember her for her positive energy, her thoughtfulness to think of everything to make every family gathering beautiful and a woman whose kindness and love knew no bounds. Angela was preceded in death by; her father, Virgilio Neira; her mother, Emilia Ines Neira Mendoza; and her brother, Maximo Neira. She is survived by; her husband, Herminio Montes; her sons, Jose and Alex Lopez; her beloved grandchild, Jose Lopez Jr.; her great-granddaughter Brielle; her siblings, Walter Neira, Eva Garcia, Janeth Espinoza, and Jacqueline Neira; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 12 NOON, at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Hwy 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 NOON prior to the service. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery, 100 Overlook Dr., Bridgeton.
