Obituary of Betty J. Dixon

Betty J. Dixon, 77, of Bridgeton died on Monday June 6, 2013 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeton on August 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Henrietta Dixon. Betty had been a lifelong resident of Bridgeton. Prior to her retirement, Betty had worked as a dispatcher for the family business, Glenn's Cab in Bridgeton. She had also been previously employed by Sunny Slope Farms in Hopewell Township and Fralinger's Dairy in Bridgeton. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, puzzle books, and many kinds of arts and crafts. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah A. Dixon of Vineland, Glenda Randall of Bridgeton and Stephanie Phillips of TN; a son, Joseph E. Dixon of Bridgeton and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn Russell Dixon and Daniel R. Dixon. Memorial Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, June 8th at 10 AM.
