Obituary of James King

James King, 86, of Bridgeton died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at his home under the care of Hospice. Born in Jacksonville, GA on December 24, 1926 to the late Joe King and Carrie Warren King, he was the husband of the late Ella Jones King. He had lived in Bridgeton for the past 58 years and prior to that resided in GA. Before his retirement, Mr. King had worked as the Laundry Supervisor for Bridgeton Hospital. He had been a hospital employee for 43 years. A veteran of the United States Army, he had served his country during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are three sons, Avant Robinson, Sr. and his wife Lisa of GA, James King, Jr. of Bridgeton and Timmie King, Sr. and his wife Stacy of Vineland; a daughter, Dorothy Frazier of Fairfield Twp.; a brother, Joe King of FL and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his wife Ella, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy King; a granddaughter, Crystal Brown; two brothers, Leroy Warren and Phillip McRae and a sister, Mattie. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday July 6th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
