Obituary of Tracy A. McAllister

Tracy A. McAllister, 44, of Hopewell Twp., died suddenly, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Bridgeton on January 21, 1969, she was the daughter of William F. Shortencarrier, Sr. and Brenda Conner Shortencarrier. She had lived at her present address in Hopewell Twp. for the past 16 years and prior to that had resided in Fairfield Twp. Tracy was currently employed as a Registered Nurse at Salem Hospital for the past 12 years. She also worked for Premier Orthopedics in Vineland. She was a member of Union Local 5142, HPAE in Emerson, NJ where she served as secretary and as an organizer. Besides her parents who reside in Northern Cambria, PA, she is survived by a son, Russell D. McAllister, III of Hopewell Twp., a daughter, Kristen A. Harris of Hopewell Twp.; two brothers, William F. Shortencarrier, Jr. of Northern Cambria, PA and Jeffrey Shortencarrier and his wife Lucille of Carneys Point; a sister, Leslie Shortencarrier-Byrum of Rosenhayn; her fiance, Jordan Carlson of Pennsville; her maternal grandfather, Lon Boatman of NC; her paternal grandmother, Stella Shortencarrier of PA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, William V. Shortencarrier. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, September 4th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening September 3rd from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday morning September 4th from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the memorial fund for Russell McAllister and Kristen Harris c/o Pennsville National Bank.
