Thoughts and prayers with the Swing/Corson/Joyce families as you say goodbye to Barbara. We were saddened to hear of her passing and my mom, Ruth Ann was especially upset. Their friendship goes way back to being little kids in Roadstown, and even though they went to different schools (Stow Creek vs Hopewell because they lived on different sides of the road), they grew up together and always kept tabs on one another throughout the years. Growing up in Bridgeton any trip we made to the ER was always made better by hearing Barbara’s laugh and her sense of humor making any anxiety go away. To me she was an excellent example of what a nurse should be, a career I would eventually pursue. When tragedy ever hit our family she would always represent by stopping by to visit my mom, or call to check in. My mom just got home this weekend from being away, she clicked onto facebook and had a message from Barbara....it was a picture of two little girls holding hands in the ocean and it said “Talking to your Best Friend is sometimes all the therapy you need.....that says it all.....
