Obituary of Maudie M. Butler

Maudie M. Butler, 81, of Port Norris, died early Tuesday morning January 28, 2014 at her home. Born in Alabama on August 8, 1932 to the late George and Jannie Satchel, she was the wife of the late Ralph Butler. She had been a resident of Port Norris for over 45 years. Before that Maudie had been a resident of Bridgeton. Prior to her retirement, Maudie had served as a nanny for Doctor and Mrs. Jeffrey Stave. She had been a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris. She is survived by; three sisters, Thelma Griffin of Louisville, AL, Mittie Martin of Ft. Myers, FL and Sarah Knight of Clio, AL and her friends in the Port Norris area. She was preceded in death by two sons. Funeral services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial Ave., Port Norris on Tuesday, February 4th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Port Norris.
