Obituary of Denise Flournoy

Denise Flournoy, 53, of Bridgeton died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Inspira Health System in Vineland. A Bridgeton resident most of her life, she was born on April 12, 1960 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Joseph Flournoy and Bernestine Powell Flournoy. Denise was employed with the Bridgeton Public School System at Broad Street School in the Food Service Department. She was a member of the Bridgeton Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Rashad Smith of Bridgeton; five brothers and sisters, Joseph Flournoy, Jr. of FL, Teresa L. Bennett of Philadelphia, Julie A. Millington of GA, Sharon A. Flournoy of Fairfield Twp. and Jonah Pitts of Philadelphia along with two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Omar Amir Smith. Funeral services will be held at the Bridgeton Assembly of God, 424 Indian Ave., Bridgeton on Wednesday, Feb. 5th at 12 Noon. Friends will be received at the church from 11 AM to 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
