Obituary of Scott E. Sturgis

Born in Bridgeton on October 4, 1979, he was the son of Allan Sturgis of Bridgeton and Susan Heckathorn Jemison of Lawrence Twp. Scott was a resident of Lawrence Twp. most of his life and was a graduate of the Millville High School Class of 2001. Besides his parents, Scott is survived by his sister, Janet McWethy and her husband Adrian of Fayetteville, AR; his paternal grandmother, Verna Sturgis of Millville; two nieces, Kaitlyn and Jasmine McWethy and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ivan Sturgis; his step-father, Philip Jemison and his maternal grandparents, Emmet and Lillian Heckathorn. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 8th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Scott's memory be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1040 Kings Hwy. N, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
