Obituary of Valerie Ann Harris

Valerie Ann Harris, 54, of Millville and formerly of Bridgeton died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton on October 23, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Milton Sheppard and Violet Rue Sheppard. She had been a Millville resident for 6 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Valerie was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had previously worked at the Vineland State School and at Cumberland Manor. Surviving are her three sons, Anthony Sheppard, Philip Harris, Jr. and Tremayne Donte Harris all of Bridgeton; four brothers, Larry (Sheila) Sheppard of Bridgeton, Milton Sheppard of Jacksonville, FL, Baron Sheppard of Tampa, FL and William Sheppard of Millville; a sister, Gloria Butler of Millville and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Wilbert Sheppard. Funeral services will be held at Glory Tabernacle, 1018 Buckshutem Road, Bridgeton on Thursday, May 1st at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM at the church. Burial will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Township.
