Obituary of Martina C. Nieves

Martina C. Nieves, 86, of Vineland died on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland. Born in Moca, Puerto Rico to the late Eduviges Gonzalez and Estanisla Caban, she was the wife of the late Juan Nieves. She had lived at her present address in Vineland for the past five years and prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton. Before her retirement, Martina had been employed by Seabrook Farms in Seabrook. She is survived by four children, Delia Montiel of Seabrook, Tomas Nieves of Puerto Rico, Aida Santomo of Bridgeton and Gladys Reyes of CT; a brother, Otilio Gonzalez of Puerto Rico; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday evening, May 27th at 6:30 PM. Interment will take place at Campo Santo y Funeraria Los Sauces in Moca, P.R. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
