Obituary of John W. Peterson

John W. Peterson, 65, of Bridgeton died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton. Born in Midville, GA, he was the son of the late Ned Peterson, Sr. and Hattie Lee Sharrod Peterson. John had been a resident of Bridgeton for the past 54 years and prior to that had lived in GA. Mr. Peterson was previously employed with the Bridgeton Public School System as a Custodian. He is survived by six brothers, Ned Peterson, Jr. of Bridgeton, Silas Peterson of Bridgeton, James Peterson of Bridgeton, Willie James Peterson of Bridgeton, Roosevelt Peterson of Atlantic City and Willie Frank Peterson of Bridgeton; a sister, Rosa Peterson of Bridgeton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother; Tommie Lee Bennett. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, August 13th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
