Obituary of Joyce D. Germany

Joyce D. Germany, 67, of Hopewell Twp. departed this life on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA following a brief illness. She was born in Macon, GA to the late Charles Myers and Eddie Mae Smith. She had been a Hopewell Twp. resident for many years. Joyce was a homemaker but had worked previously for the 4-Star chicken factory in Bridgeton and several hotels in Bridgeton. She volunteered as a home healthcare aide. Joyce was also a member of the Tabernacle of Deliverance Church in Quinton Twp. She is survived by; three sons, Darin Myers of Pleasantville, Antonio Mathis of Columbus, GA and Michael Mathis and his wife April of Bridgeton; three brothers, Charles Myers, Lee Kent and Rueben Bryant and 11 sisters Mattie Mae Hodge, Margaret Patterson, Cynthia Walden, Sharon Walden, Gloria King, Arrisa Mong, Judy King, Shilon Perry, Andrenette Joseph, Kreasy Patterson and Mae Katherine Green. She was preceded in death by; two sisters, Dorothy Juanita Myers and Linda Diane Weams and her step-father, Reuben King. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77 Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, October 24th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedarhill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
