Thelma Bateman Willis, 88, of PA and formerly of Cedarville died Monday, November 17, 2014 in PA. Born in Cedarville and a resident there most of her life she was the wife of the late Chester Willis. After her retirement and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease she was cared for by family in Cedarville and later moved to West Virginia and Pennsylvania to live with her daughter, Rev. Karen Willis. Following her graduation from the nursing program at Cooper Hospital in Camden, Thelma had worked on the Maternity Ward as a Nurse for more than 20 years at Bridgeton Hospital before her retirement. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Cedarville where she played the piano for over 20 years and was also a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class. We celebrate her life of caring and remember her loving smile. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Monday, November 24th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
