Obituary of Ruth E. Fox

Ruth Fox, 89, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Bridgeton to the late James Gardiner Turner and G. Leone Brown Turner, she was the wife of Kenneth W. Fox, Sr. She had lived in Upper Deerfield since 1943 and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton. She had been formerly employed by Cumberland National Bank and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Kenneth W. Fox, Jr. of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a sister, Beverly Lamarque of Brigantine; two grandsons, Wayne A. Fox and his wife Jodi of Woodstown and Lee A. Fox and his wife Deborah of Bridgeton and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Fox and Justin Fox. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Wanda Fox Counard; two brothers, James Gardiner Turner, III and Courtlandt S. Turner and three sisters, Dorothy L. Turner, Jeanne E. Behr and Kathryn A. Wilson. A visitation will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, December 20th from 9 AM to 10 AM. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family followed by interment at Overlook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mrs. Fox’s memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.
