Obituary of Vernon Coleman

Vernon Coleman, 79, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Golden Health and Rehab. Center in Salem. Born in Phelps, KY to the late Monroe Coleman and Gladys Hunt Coleman, he was the husband of Ruth Ann Atha Coleman. He had lived in at his present address for the past 23 years and prior to that had resided in DE. Before his retirement he had worked for the Chrysler Corporation in DE for 33 years. He was a member of the Norma Baptist Church where he served as associate pastor. Vernon enjoyed crafts, woodworking, gardening and canning. Besides his wife, Ruth, he is survived by a son, Larry Coleman of DE; a daughter, Pamela Sniecinski of DE; a granddaughter, Shelbie; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Dominick; an aunt, Lou Hinson of KY; a step-son, Eric Anderson of Hopewell Twp.; a step-daughter, Angela Anderson-Moore of DE; five step-grandchildren, Cody, Autumn, Lindsey, Alyssa and Kaeleigh; a brother, Roger Coleman of WV and a sister, Bonita Fleming of KY. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Giovanni Zahn; a sister, Marlene and a brother, Ben Coleman. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, December 19th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services.
