Obituary of Eric C. Simpkins

Eric C. Simpkins, 46, of Millville went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. Eric was born to Edwin C. Simpkins of Millville and Kathleen Romano-Simpkins of Hopewell Twp. at Bridgeton Hospital on August 6, 1968. He attended Maranatha Baptist School and Church and after graduation became a mechanic and worked for Brunozzi Trucking in Vineland. Eric never met a stranger, loved telling stories and could light up a room making everyone around him laugh. He was a loving son, brother, father and friend and an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father, Robert Stiles; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Romano Kenney of Cedarville; 5 children, Kirsten Simpkins (Joseph Hamidy) of Bridgeton, Breanna Simpkins (Will Talmadge) Wantage, NJ, Eric Simpkins, Jr., Courtney Simpkins and Kelsey Simpkins all of Upper Deerfield Twp; two brothers, Shawn (Tricia) Simpkins of Audubon and Josh Simpkins of Hopewell Twp.; two sisters, Diane Simpkins and Linda Simpkins both of Rosenhayn; two grandchildren, Hailey and Jayden of Bridgeton and his fiancé Carolyn and children, Jesse and Brittany Williams. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Louis Romano, Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Louella Simpkins. Funeral services will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Millville on Saturday, January 31st at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to T.D. Bank, 44 South Laurel Street, Bridgeton to a trust fund for his children.
