Obituary of Ruth A. Coleman

Ruth A. Anderson- Coleman, 74, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home under the care of Hospice. Born in Shinnston, WV to the late Irvin E. Atha and Myrtle Martin Atha, she was the wife of the late Vernon Coleman. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Marvin Anderson. Ruth had resided at her present address since 1965 and prior to that had been a resident of Seabrook. Before her retirement she had worked for Cumberland Mutual Fire Insurance Co. for 16 years. She had also worked for the Bridgeton Evening News and as a bus driver for Sheppard Bus Service. She was a faithful member of Norma Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Eric Anderson of Hopewell Twp.; her daughter, Angela Anderson-Moore of DE; her brother, Irvin W. Atha and his wife Melba of Stow Creek Twp.; her sister, Betty J. Matheny of Upper Deerfield Twp.; six grandchildren, Cody, Autumn, Lindsey, Alyssa, Kaeleigh and Shelbie; a great-granddaughter, Olivia; one step-son, Larry Coleman of DE; a step-daughter, Pamela Sniecinski of DE and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Gio Zahn and a stepson, Gray Coleman. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 7th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
