My mother, Ruth Elizabeth Carll Broomall McConnell, loved her cottage on the water at Fortescue. It was a special place with special memories for her and her family. She also had a strong devotion to the Fortescue Chapel and would be honored by any memorial gifts being directed there. Thank you. Larry Broomall

My family lived across the street from the Broomall's in Sewell, NJ! I am living in my childhood home now and think of the Broomall's often. Was saddened to read of Mrs. Broomall's passing.
Some of my memories consist of staying with them during a blizzard back in the 60's when we lost power, a pajama party on their porch....I spent a lot of time in their house as I was friendly with Dottie.
if Dottie reads this, I would love to connect with you again! I was so saddened when I read of Mrs. Broomall's passing. She was such a pleasant, happy person, always welcoming my sister, Nancy, into their home.
my parents were Howard and Elaine Denny.
my sincere condolences to Dottie, her brothers, and their families.
Sincerely,
Kate (Kathy Denny) Gonzalez

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Ruth. My family always enjoyed visiting her every year. The kids had fun throwing rocks from the deck and trying to feed the seagulls. She was certainly blessed to have that home so close to the ocean and have that fantastic porch to sit and watch the ships go by. I was amazed at all the things she had accomplished at her "young" age. We will always think fondly of her when we visit the Jersey Shore. Prayers to Dottie, Larry and Tommy.

I am very sorry to learn of the passing of your mother. I still hold dearly memories of the Broomalls during days boating on the Chesapeake and special times with Ruth's sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Bill. My deepest sympathies and prayers to Larry, Tom, and Dottie and your extended families.
