Obituary of Virginia B. Hughes

Virginia B. Hughes, 78, of Monroeville died on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her home. Born in Elmer, to the late Robert Hutt and Florence Gresham Hutt, she was the wife of the late Timothy Hughes, Sr. Virginia had resided in Monroeville for the past 53 years and before that she had lived in Shirley. Virginia had been employed as a beautician at Elmer Hospital for several years and she was also a homemaker. She had attended Morning Star Baptist Church. She is survived by; two sons, Timothy Hughes, Jr. of Monroeville and Douglas Hughes and his wife Jadelyn of Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Nardine Stewart of Bridgeton and Lorraine Johnson of Bridgeton and four grandchildren. Besides her husband, Timothy, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Robert Hutt, Jr. and Mahlon Hutt and a sister, Awilda Hutt. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Thursday, February 19th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Morning Star Cemetery in Pilesgrove. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
