Obituary of Joyce A. Wood

Joyce A. Wood, 67, of Cedarville died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home under the care of hospice. She was born in Bridgeton to the late Edward Gilman and Adelaide Exel Gilman. Joyce had been a Lawrence Twp. resident most of her life. Prior to her retirement she had worked for Bayada Nurses as a home healthcare aide. Before that, she had worked at the family business, Gilman’s Shoe Store in Cedarville. Joyce had also spent a great deal of time caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the love of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Wood of Cedarville; her son, Charles Wood of Cedarville; a brother, Edward “Buzz” Gilman of Fortescue; two sisters, Adelaide Coulter of Millville and Ruby Ballenger of West Virginia; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Cedarville Baptist Church, 328 Main Street, Cedarville on Tuesday, June 23rd at 11 AM.
