Obituary of Joyce Pierce

Joyce M. Pierce, 77, of Bridgeton died on Sunday morning, June 28, 2015 at her home under the care of Hospice. Born in Bridgeton to the late Ernest Charles Pierce and Mattie Pearl Brooks Pierce, she was the wife of Paul Pierce. Joyce had been a resident of Bridgeton all of her life and attended school in the Bridgeton Public School System. Prior to her retirement, Joyce had worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at the New Jersey Veteran’s Memorial Home in Vineland for over 10 years. Before that, she had worked as a private home healthcare aid for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband, Paul Pierce; a daughter, Audrey Pierce; her siblings, Eernest Pierce, Wayman Pierce, Harold Pierce, Anthony Pierce, Florine Jones Pierce, Violetta Rhea, Carolyn Waters, Ernestine Rios, Carliss Morissey and Virginia Mason-Brown and many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Agnes Martin, Mary Louise Pierce and Florence Jannet Pierce and two brothers, Edwin Carl Pierce and Charles E. Pierce. Memorial services will be held at later date at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction on the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
