Obituary of Thomas Suggs

Thomas “Nose” Suggs, Jr., 72, of Rosehayn died on Thursday evening, October 22, 2015 following a brief illness. Thomas was born in Eupora, Mississippi to the late Tony Suggs and Lozel Boose Suggs. He was a Rosenhayn resident most of his life but had lived in Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama prior to the early 1950’s. Before his retirement, Thomas had worked as a mechanic and trucker for several area trucking companies including; Ed’s Body Shop in Bridgeton, the former Bianco Bros., the former Lobiondo’s Trucking Co. and National Freight. In his free time, Thomas enjoyed oldies music, traveling, bowling, going to the park and spending quality time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing with his Uncle John Henry Boose. He is survived by; two children; Gary Powell of Gouldtown and Anaya Suggs of Rosenhayn; 12 siblings, Marie Nelson of Rosenhayn, Margie Washington of Vineland, James Suggs of Rosenhayn, Billy Suggs of Vineland, Lorraine Johnson of Vineland, Lula Kaliffa of Vineland, Gregory Suggs of Rosenhayn, John Suggs of Millville, Tracey Gaines of Rosenhayn, Minister William Suggs of Millville, Julie Smith of Rosenhayn and Amy Miller of Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Rev. Thomas Earl Suggs, Clinton Suggs, Sylvester Suggs, Loretta Suggs and April Suggs. Funeral services will be held at Mount Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 486 Big Oak Rd. Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, October 30th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
