Obituary of Willie J. Comer

Willie J. Comer, 75, of Bridgeton died on Sunday evening, November 15, 2015 at his home. Willie was born in Rockingham, NC to the late Wilson Comer and Matilda Smith Comer. He had been a resident of Bridgeton for the past 55 years and prior to that he had lived in North Carolina. A master upholsterer, Willie had owned and operated Comer’s Upholstery in Deerfield Twp. and formerly in Gouldtown for 55 years. He was an avid bowler spending many hours at Bowl-O-Drome in Bridgeton and also enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by 7 children, Tammy Washington of Salem, Cheryl Brooks of Hopewell Twp., Willie Comer, Jr. of NC, Donna Ridgeway of NC, Troy Comer of NC, Wilbert Comer of NC and Tracy Comer of SC; 10 brothers and sisters, Sylvia Comer, Deborah Clark, Charla Comer , Woodrow Comer, Benny Comer and John Comer, Alberta Williams of NY, Vernell Comer of Bridgeton, Linda Comer of Bridgeton and Linwood Perry Comer of Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Comer and four siblings, Maceo Comer, Wilson Comer, William Comer and Minnie Ann Comer. Memorial Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, November 21st at 10 AM.
