Obituary of Margaret E. Wood

Margaret E. Wood, 76, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the home of her son, Bill Shaffer where she was staying during her illness. Born in Bland County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Tickle and Grace Hounshell Tickle. She had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for four years and lived in Vineland prior to that. Before her retirement, Margaret had been employed with the Chemglass Company in Vineland for 27 years. Previous to that she had worked at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for 27 years. She was an avid golfer and a member of Ramoth Nazarene Church in Vineland. Surviving are her three children, William “Bill” Shaffer, Jr. (Liz) of Shiloh, Brenda Shaffer of Upper Deerfield Township and Brian Shaffer (Sarah) of Bridgeton; her stepson, Donald Wood (Kim) of Cedarville, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Curtis Tickle and two sisters, Evelyn Catron and Lois Anderson. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Ramoth Nazarene Church in Vineland. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
