Charles E. Thomas, 80, of Millville died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born and raised in Port Norris, he was the husband of Louise Kidd Thomas. He had resided in Millville for the past six years but was a lifetime Port Norris resident prior to that. An Oysterman by trade, Mr. Thomas had worked for the Jack King Oyster Co. in Port Norris and had also been a truck driver for Sam Thomas Trucking in Port Norris. In addition to his wife Louise, he is survived by six children, Charles Thomas of Whitesboro, Michael Thomas of Absecon, Norman Thomas of Pleasantville, Gerald Thomas of Cape May, Ronald Thomas of Port Norris and David Thomas of Woodbine. He was predeceased by two children, Lula Mae Thomas and Donald Thomas. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, January 7th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
