Obituary of Robert W. Dooley

Robert W. Dooley, 89, of Hopewell Twp. died on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center-Elmer. Born in Bedford, VA to the late William Hilton Dooley and Annie Odell Robertson Dooley, he was the husband of the late Helen Virginia Overstreet Dooley. Robert moved to the Bridgeton area in 1942, where he was a resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Robert had worked in the Hot End of Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville for over 22 years. He had also been employed at Seabrook Farms in Seabrook when he arrived in New Jersey and had worked several construction jobs around Cumberland County. In his free time, Robert loved to go to various race tracks to enjoy his passion of horseracing. He was always diligent in his yard work and keeping his property beautiful. Robert also enjoyed gardening where he grew excellent Jersey Tomatoes. In his younger years, he enjoyed stock car racing at the former track in Vineland and taking his grandchildren to the Cumberland County Fair. He is survived by; his daughter, Julia Marie Castellini of Vineland; a granddaughter, J. Kay Hatch of Vineland; two grandsons, Herbert “Herbie” Graham of Vineland and Francis Castellini of Vineland; five great-grandchildren, Christopher Hatch, Deanna Castellini, Alyssa Graham, Frankie Castellini and Ramiro Niko Mireles and five brothers, Billy T. Dooley of VA, Bobby G. Dooley of VA, Hilton S. Dooley of VA, Roy B. Dooley of MD and A. Russell Dooley of VA. Besides his wife Helen, he was preceded in death by; six brothers, Lewis Dooley, Roger R. Dooley, William Dooley, Jackson Dooley, Wallace Dooley and John Lee Dooley and two sisters, Mae Underwood and Sally Morgan. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, January 13th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
