Obituary of Mary O. Gaddy

Mary O. Gaddy, age 72, of Hopewell Township, died on Friday, February 24, 2012 at South Jersey Healthcare-Elmer following a year of declining health. The wife of James J. Gaddy, she was born in Grassy Fork, TN on March 4, 1939 and was the daughter of late William D. Henderson and Lanie Smith Henderson. She had lived at her present address for 35 years and prior to that had resided in Shiloh. Mrs. Gaddy had been employed with the Wheaton Tubing Company in Millville and also Seabrook Farms. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in the Awana Program. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, James S. Gaddy and his wife Kristin of Quinton; three grandchildren, Alyssa N. Gaddy, Jessica L. Gaddy and James C. Gaddy; two brothers, Rondy Ray Henderson, Sr. (Donna) of Hopewell Township and William D. Henderson, Jr. (Erma) of Lexington NC; four sisters, Annie Lucille Langley (Harry) of Vineland, Geraldean Marie Cogdill (Donald) of Marietta, SC, Lola Ann Ellison (Tim) of Seabrook and Donna Lou Langley (Vincent) of Newfield. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mymie Jo Raines McElyer (Charles); her step-mother, Hilda Henderson; and her grandparents Annie and Thomas Henderson of Grassy Fork, TN. Funeral services will be held at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Millville on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Eastview Cemetery in Salem.
