To the Rup's Gym family, we are so sorry for your loss. Rich jr. was a pleasure to play against and even though he had a big hand in beating us a few times, we couldn't help but like him. He was the consummate teammate, a guy you dreaded playing but would love to have on your team. Hope he's having a catch with Steve Jaggard at this very moment. God Bless you all from all of Giambris.

To the entire Rupertus clan I send my deepest sympathy. Growing up in Laurel Springs, I knew many of you. Our entire family was so very sad when my brother John told us about Richie. They were good friends when they were younger - one of those friendships that last a lifetime no matter how often you see each other. My heart goes out to all of you. MaryAnn

We are so sorry for your loss. Richie was a dear friend to both John and I (Renee). Richie was loved by all who knew him, his work ethics were unmatched, and he loved his family. He talked of his mom and father and 3 sisters often. John and I live in Texas now and will not be able to attend his funeral. Praying for you and may God bless you all.

Your presence here was a gift to all of us that knew you. You often made even the worst of days better with your smile and your sense of humor. I am proud to say that I knew you and considered you a friend.
To your family and loved ones, I was thinking of a poem I read several years ago -
I walked a mile with Pleasure
She chattered all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say
I walked a mile with Sorrow
And ne'er a word said she
But all the things I learned from her
When Sorrow walked with me
I have never forgotten these words, for their meaning and simplicity.
Remember the good things, for they will give you strength in your darkest hours.
I know this is a cruel and devastating loss, and recovery will be difficult, but remember there are many people that care, and will be there for you.
God bless you.
