Obituary of Richard T. Rupertus

Richard T. Rupertus, Jr., age 48, of Vorhees died unexpectedly on Monday evening, February 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. Richard was born in Camden on May 10, 1963 and was the son of Richard T. Rupertus and Mary Hartner Rupertus. He was employed as a supervisor with the BEI Group-Environmental Services of Bristol, PA for over 20 years. His work meant everything to him, as well as the people he worked with. He enjoyed golf and fishing at his second home in Myrtle Beach, SC. In addition to his parents who reside in Upper Deerfield Township, Richard is survived by three sisters, Debbie Dickinson and her husband Bill of Chester, VA, Shari Hayes and her husband Tom of Rosenhayn and JoAnne Kelly and her husband Bob of Stratford; his grandmother, Hildred Rupertus of Laurel Springs; nieces and nephews, Billy, Alex, Andrew, Paige, Erin and Jimmy and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including Nick Gagliardi and Bob Thompson. His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, 312 North Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Saturday, February 25th at 2 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services. Cremation and inurnment took place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Richard's memory be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 North Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
